Christmas Breakfast Tournament - The Jeff Bird Cup

If you have yet to experience a Sear breakfast tournament it is one of the great things that must be done in life. Sign up in the club to take your place in history. The perpetual trophy was discovered at Leonard Joel auctions. and now features actual sandstone (in the base) from the old Exhibition Street court. It is named after Jeff Bird, held to be the monocular world champion and a man with “an almost mystical knack of winning these tournaments.” To be presented by Elaine Bird (if possible) at breakfast after tennis

2025 Australian Open Singles & Doubles in Hobart

Some of the Worlds best Real Tennis players will descend on Hobart for the 2025 Australian Open - marking the 150th anniversary of the Hobart Real Tennis Club. Info for the draw and streaming link will be released in December 2024.

Roo Trophy 2025 - Handicap Singles & Doubles
RMTC | Fri, 17th Jan | 9:30 am
The Singles event will be run in a knock-out format, with repechage. The Doubles event will be in a graded round-robin format, followed by knock-out. (Note: Singles format may change depending on entry numbers.)
Playing sessions will include morning, daytime and evening. Those who are working at this time of the year are encouraged to play and indicate their time preference in the section below or advise the tournament organisers (see below) of availability restrictions. We will try to do our best to accommodate preferences. Players who enter the Doubles without a partner will be paired, if possible, with a player of similar ability.
The Roo Trophy dinner will be held at the Club on Friday evening 24 January.Entry forms will be released soon.

"The Bilby" Inaugural 2025 Sydney Easter Tournament

Social program including Gala Dinner on Easter Saturday 19 April. This Easter tournament will incorporate the Official Opening of a new court in Sydney, after a 20-year hiatus. Construction at Cheltenham is currently underway with completion due in November 2024.
