The best real tennis players in the world come to town to play for the premiere tennis tournament in Australia. Matches will run through the evening Tuesday to Friday and all day across the weekend so come down any time and support all the players. There are a number of players coming who haven't been here before so make them feel welcome.

World Junior Real Tennis Championships

The bi-annual World Junior Real Tennis Championships will be hosted this year in the UK by the T&RA at Seacourt Tennis Club on Hayling Island.
The top 16 juniors (U19) in the world have been invited to take part in this prestigious event and play for the title of World Junior Champion.

1992 saw the introduction of a ladies equipvalent of the Percy Finch Racket, named after former World Champion Judith Clarke and played on an annual basis between Hobart and Melbourne.

The World Championship

13-time world champion Rob Fahey is the reigning champion, and will be challenged by former champion Camden Riviere. The challenge was originally scheduled to take place in April 2020, but has been postponed to September 2022 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

We are running all the usual grades (Over 50's, 55's, 60's, 65's, 70's, 75's singles and doubles) in the Melbourne Masters this year. We weren't able to run this event last year so the draws may have changed a bit from last time. Clear your weekend and get ready for some good competition. There will be a dinner on Saturday night, details to be confirmed.

Finals Day incl Gold Racket

Our biggest day on the calendar, Finals Day is the day the best amateur players in the Club get to strut their stuff. There will be the Gold Racket final, the A Grade Women's Club Championship final and the Ford Strachan Junior Club Championship final alongside the John Poolman Trophy final and the Medal of Medallists. There will be a lunch to mark the Club Christmas party. It is always a great day of tennis and a celebration of the Club, even more so this year. More details to come with the day's schedule.
