2 February 10 24 January Boomerang Cup

Thursday, 5th Feb

28 Clubs were represented in the Boomerang Cup from around the world, with 268 players and partners. Representations were from France and the Netherlands, plus 20 from other Australian Clubs; a record 26 from the USA; and 90 from Great Britain.

Over half of the Boomerang Cup were visitors enjoying the RMTC experience and Melbourne in a hot summer. ‘Off piste’ activities included the Australian Open lawn tennis, cricket at the MCG, truffle hunting, boating on the bay, cycling, golf and, of course, the ambience of the RMTC gardens and pool.

Congratulation to the 2026 Boomerang Cup winning team Newport Volley Llamas and finalist Return to Sender.

Handicap doubles winners were David Christodoulou and John Dagnall in the A Division, and James and Julie Levy in the B Division.

Thank you to the organising subcommittee and our unsurpassed Professional team, for making it one of the great Boomerang Cups to remember.

We look forward to the next Boomerang Cup in January 2028.
